Meeting up with Play Therapists

I'm still buzzing from the incredible event we attended at the IPTCA event in Dunboyne Castle Hotel, co. Meath on the 17th and 18th of June. A two-days training for play therapists and delivered by Lisa Dion, creator of Synergetic Play Therapy and founder and President of the Synergetic Play Therapy Institute.
During the conference, Mimitoys had the pleasure of showcasing a range of toys and resources specifically designed for play therapy. Among our products, puppets emerged as the clear favorite, with monster puppets  and Hideaway Puppets being particularly popular. These whimsical creatures seemed to capture the imaginations of both therapists and children alike, providing a safe and non-threatening way to explore and express their emotions.

It was a truly enriching and encouraging experience for me to have the opportunity to engage with play therapists and gain a deeper understanding of their unique needs and the toys and resources they use in their practice.
Talking to these dedicated professionals opened my eyes to the profound impact play therapy can have on children's emotional and psychological well-being. It was inspiring to witness their passion and commitment to helping young minds heal and grow through the power of play.

Additionally, figurines with detailed features and traits, crafted as closely as possible to reality, seemed to be in demand. These lifelike representations allow children to engage in imaginative play that mirrored their own experiences, aiding in the process of self-reflection and understanding.

Attending the IPTCA (Irish Play Therapy Community Association) conference was a truly transformative experience for me, personally and as a business. It deepened my appreciation for the invaluable work of play therapists and reaffirmed our commitment to providing them with the tools they need to make a positive impact on the lives of children. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a vital field and look forward to further collaborations in the future.
